GeoConcept puts the GeoScheduling Suite 4.5 on the rails
With this new version of its key solution for planning optimization, GeoConcept confirms its position as a market leader in mobile intelligence solutions.
Paris, 3rd of March 2011 : GeoConcept SA, leading developer of technologies for geographic optimization, announced the launch of the new version 4.5 of its GeoScheduling Suite (GSS) solutions, a new major development of the GSS, totally turned towards the optimization of mobility and time real.
Perfectly adapted to the problems of professional freight and logistics services, the GeoScheduling Suite (GSS) of GeoConcept aims to optimize schedule management by optimal combination of mapping, routes and agendas. For the new major version of the solution, the development teams of GeoConcept have attached a particular attention to map display and capacities of nomadism.
Among significant new features of this version, we can mention :
Automatic reorganization of plannings. When booking appointments, the optimization engine now allows to insert new appoints and reorganize automatically the existing schedules, while maintaining customer commitments.
Management of recurrent visits. Each technician or sales person must be able to incorporate in his schedule a notion of frequency of visits, in line with the maintenance agreement of the business strategy, for example. The new version of GSS allows to integrate a minmum and maximum temporal interval of the visits.
Nomadism. Geoconcept has incorporated in its solution a new module Weelog, allowing to develop business applications on a PDA in order to publish its roadmap, validate the tasks or to geolocate the different sites. The user in movement has a larger number of tools to optimise his travels. GSS 4.5 offers also (directly on the PND, Personnal Navigation Device), TomTom, an interface of geolocation for fleet tracking and sending missions (rounds).
Hazard management. GSS 4.5 integrates a specific interface for optimization that can offer a better scheme of reorganization of tasks following an unexpected in the day (breakdowns, accidents, customer absent, etc.).. It is also possible to rearrange your schedule for a team after several hazards to optimize the remaining tasks of the day. Conditions of reorganizations of schedules are perfectly handled.
Emergency processing. Flexibility and responsiveness are essential to cope with the unexpected. GSS 4.5 therefore provides a web service that takes into account the actual position of commercial or technician to better manage emergencies with more accurate information in real time.
Adding a search tool around an address, in order to list customers, vehicles or agencies in order of proximity (depending on route). A new roadmap to help navigation can be edited for this search.
Enhanced mapping displays. Through a complementary and dynamic visualization of customers and tasks, in addition to displaying routes, the planner takes a glance at the map the different tasks in the vicinity of the technician or the sales person depending on their status and/or type. Mapping becomes an effective, easy and quick planning-aided tool.

In addition to these operating features, GSS 4.5 offers also many systems to integrate external data allowing to quickly conduct simulations for savings and ROI.
