French Groupe Banque Populaire
This framework contract enables each entity in the Groupe Banque Popularie to benefit from all GeoConcept solutions and modules (Universal Geocoder, GeoConcept Sales & Marketing, the Miner Module....).
With 7 million customers and 2,911 branches, the Groupe Banque Populaire is one of the main banking chains in France. It has 35,000 staff, and is present in 71 countries through Natixis. At the end of 2006 the Group set out to find a global solution (IT solution plus processes) for handling very large volumes of data, with the aim of enriching its geo-economic databases used to supply data for marketing campaigns, potential-scoring marketing studies, and for initiatives to optimize the network grid.
Pascal Beauvillain, head of GeoConcept’s marketing division, considers the successful conclusion of this agreement an appropriate reward : “Apart from our capacity to deliver a clear and straightforward answer to the problem, BFBP’s choice of GeoConcept was because of our excellent understanding of the environment in which this mutual banking group operates, and because of the quality of the financial tool we provided to help the various entities in the Group to grow.”
The Banque Fédérale des Banques Populaires went on to choose the Universal Geocoder Solution (our module for geocoding large numbers of addresses) and complemented its geomarketing suite with the acquisition or update of other solutions : GeoConcept Sales & Marketing (Geomarketing analysis solution) and the Miner module (spatial analysis module).
Geomarketing issues for the Groupe Banque Populaire are many and varied. Thanks to geocoding and marketing analysis solutions, customer profiles can be optimized, and customer data crossed with geo-economic data for more effective management of prospects.
These solutions are adding an extra dimension to decision-making in the design of direct marketing and new prospect campaigns, helping to analyze potential for development in certain areas, and deciding where to install or reposition branches or cash machines.
In the Group, four of the Banques Populaires Régionales regional operations and the BFBP are already using GeoConcept solutions. The signing of this framework contract is an important step in ensuring the roll-out of geomarketing technologies and practices in the Group.
